The East Oxford Community Social Club is the only remaining bar & event venue in Oxford run by the Community for the Community! Members have access to a wide variety of local music & events at the East Oxford Community Centre, between Cowley Road & Princes Street, Oxford.
Under New Management: As you may or may not know the social club was closed in February 2007 and was nearly closed permanently. A small group of volunteers re-opened the club in May 2007 and are striving to save it for the continued use of the community. We ask you show FULL SUPPORT as the battle to save the place is not over yet. There are some challenges ahead but if we get your backing we can not only save it but take it to new heights.
Ways you can help: Offer time as a bar volunteer; tell other people about this great opportunity to have a thriving, successful community venue; come to the events with a good attitude; and give us positive advice on how you think the place could be improved. Become a Member and invite your friends to join.
Membership: We will be asking everyone to renew their membership at the Club. From now on there will be friendly, SIA badged security on the door. We have a whole host of future plans for events and improvements but don't forget, this is a members club and members say how it is run so have your say.
